Here are some general questions and answers about our practice. We see all patients by appointment only, we do not accept walk-ins. Also you will find important information about insurance and billing here. We want to do everything we can to help you understand your insurance and how it interacts with our office. For patients moving or needing information sent to another treating physican we will forward your records to them at no charge. If you want a copy of your records or want them sent to someone other than another treating physician there will be a fee. These requests will take up to  72 hours to complete. Due to current legal, privacy and insurance regulations, when you register at our office you must have a valid and current government issued ID, a valid insurance card or proof of insurance and make any copayments required by your insurance company. We will be happy to assist in filling out forms for work status changes etc, but you will need to give the office 72 hours to complete your information, so please plan accordingly. Dr. Lafferty shares call coverage with other local physicians, so when you come to our office if you would like more information please ask a staff member.

Every month, you’ll receive a statement that lists what your insurance company still owes and what you owe. Statements continue until all payments are made.

Why does the statement show a total account balance when I have insurance coverage?

Warner Robins OB/GYN probably hasn't yet been paid by your insurance company. However, if your insurance plan does not cover the services you received, you are financially responsible for them.




What is my financial responsibility?

Insurance is an agreement between you and your insurance company. We do not become involved in disputes you and your insurance company regarding copays, deductibles, non-covered and denied services. You will need to contact your insurance company to determine what is and not covered.

** If your insurance requires additional information from the insured (e.g. another insurance plan, accident information, additional forms such as referral claim forms, student status or other) then it is the responsibility of the insured to provide that information in a timely manner to properly process insurance claims, otherwise the financial responsibility will be that of the insured.

How can I pay my bill?

Our practice accepts cash, money orders, Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express and debit cards as well as personal checks. Payment plans can be setup for balances other than copays as well as discounts for accounts paid in full. Please feel free to contact our Billing Department with any questions or concerns; we will make every attempt to assist you.

I paid my co-payment, why am I getting a bill?


Warner Robins OB/GYN bills your insurance as a courtesy to you, and in order to simplify your healthcare experience. However, it is important to note that each patient is individually financially responsible for what is not covered under their plan. While we will collect any co-payments due, this co-payment amount may not cover your whole visit. Please review your explanation of benefits (EOB) as was provided to you from your insurance company. If one was not provided to you, we will be happy to provide you with our copy. An EOB will break down for you the reason for your responsibility. If you disagree with how your claim was processed, please contact your insurance company for assistance. If you find that your EOB does not match what is on your bill, please contact us immediately for resolution at (478) 923-2229.



What does “adjustment” mean?

“Adjustment” refers to the portion of your bill that your hospital or doctor has agreed not to charge you.

What if I cannot pay the amount I owe in full?

In many cases, we can help establish a 2-12 -month interest-free payment plan. Partial payments made toward your balance will not stop collection activity unless you have made payment arrangements with us.
